Question: I have sensitive skin, is your product line right for me?

Answer: Yes. OUMERE is designed for all skin types, and is specifically formulated without ingredients that create and exasperate skin sensitivity. It is important to understand that skin sensitivity is not a natural property of skin, sensitive skin is a condition created by using poorly formulated skin care. Please refer to this article which details the common skin care ingredients that create skin sensitivity,

 

Question: I have acne, which OUMERE products should I use?

Answer: If you have acne, then you need to begin chemical exfoliation daily with our No. 9 Chemical Exfoliant to rebuild your skin's protective barrier, balance sebum levels, and to protect against future bacterial growth. Next you need to add anti-inflammatory extracts and hydration, which is done with UV-R. Next you need to provide your skin with moisture, vitamins, and balanced oils to further treat your skin, which is done with daily application of Serum Bioluminelle. **Note** For some, Bioluminelle should only be used very sparingly (or not at all for very oily, damaged skin) in the beginning (first 2-4 weeks). In the evening cleanse with our oil-based moisturizer, Oil Dissolution Theory, to cleanse skin without stripping its oils and disrupting it's pH. Harsh cleansers, and over use of cleansing products is another cause of acne and inflamed skin. 

Please note that cystic acne is a severe medical condition and should be treated under a doctors supervision with prescribed medication. 

 

Question: How long do I need to maintain the OUMERE acne regimen (No.9, UV-R, Serum Bioluminelle, and Oil Dissolution Theory) before I see results?

Answer: Since OUMERE products elicit a true biological response through gentle, yet effective methodology, you will not see results overnight. Quick fixes are dangerous and do more harm than good in the long-run. Clients of OUMERE have reported seeing a clearing of years-long acne within one to two months of daily use. 

Question: Will the No. 9 cause a skin purge?

Answer: If you are beginning the OUMERE regimen with damaged, weakened skin, acne or any skin barrier issues, it is likely that No. 9 will cause an initial skin purge. This is referred to as an ‘acne flare up’ and is common when first using a chemical exfoliant. The chemical exfoliant is working on damaged skin, and will often require skin to appear worse before it gets better because the exfoliant is revealing damaged skin underneath. With time, the flare up will subside and leave your skin clear. The more damaged your skin, the longer the flare up will last. More information on skin purging can be found here.

Question: I have oily, acne-prone skin, will putting oil on my face make my oil/acne worse?

Answer: Oily skin and acne are only made worse by oils high in Oleic acid. Oleic acid causes clogged pores and inflammation, and is found in high concentrations in the sebum (skin oil) of those with acne. OUMERE's products have oils with a high concentration in Linoleic acid, which are acids that reduce inflammation and clogged pores. The principal behind our formulations is: Like dissolves Like, meaning that balanced oils will restore your skin, without making it more oily, or making acne worse.

There are many beneficial oils that have a high oleic acid content, however to prevent pore clogging, be sure that there are also oils high in linoleic acid within the same product to balance out the oleic acid levels. 

 

Question: What are some oils high in oleic acid?

Answer: Hazlenut oil, Apricot kernel oil, Macadamia nut oil, Sea buckthorn oil, Shea nut oil, Olive oil, Sweet almond oil, Squalane and Argan oil.

Question: Which sunscreen do you recommend?

Answer: Look for a mineral sunscreen (non-nano zinc oxide and non-nano titanium dioxide) that is fragrance-free, essential oil-free, denatured alcohol/ SD alcohol- free. The sunscreen should not have a high concentration of comedogenic oils (oils high in oleic acid). The sunscreen should have an SPF of 15-50 and offer broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) coverage.

 

Question: Can I use No. 9 twice per day?

Answer: No. 9 is a potent and powerful chemical exfoliant and therefore should only be used twice per day by those with mature skin that is acclimated to No. 9. 

 

Question: Will you send free samples of your products for me to try before I buy?

Answer: OUMERE's Travel set is available for purchase here to try the OUMERE range before purchasing the full sized products.

 

Question: When will I receive my order?

Answer: Please allow 2-5 business days for processing. Once your order has been processed your order will be mailed via USPS. Domestic orders are sent via 2 or 3 day Priority mail or First Class Mail depending on your mailing address. You will receive a tracking number when your order has been mailed.

*NOTE: If it has been 5 business days or fewer since the time you placed your order, please do not contact OUMERE for an order update. 

 

Question: I am placing an international order, will I need to pay a VAT or customs charge?

Your order may be subject to VAT, import duties and/or taxes, which are levied once your package reaches your country. If you do incur these additional charges, they must be paid in order for your package to clear customs. As the client, you are responsible for these charges. Packages returned as unclaimed or refused which have incurred returned shipping charges will be billed to your credit card. For more information regarding your country’s custom policies, please contact your local customs office. OUMERE will not be held responsible for any confiscations by customs.

 

Question: I placed an international order, when will my package be released from customs? 

Answer: Customs for your country may take several weeks before your package is released. Customs wait times vary from country to country and can take up to two months depending on your country, and how busy your local customs office is currently. Please DO NOT contact OUMERE in regards to customs processes, wait times, charges, or customs release for your country. OUMERE does not have any additional information and cannot obtain any additional information on the status of your package outside of what can be inferred from your tracking information. The client is responsible for contacting their country's customs office in order to obtain additional information in regards to their package delivery. 

 

Question: I am a beauty blogger and I would like to do a review of OUMERE on my website/social media, would you send free samples to me?

Answer: You are welcome to purchase any OUMERE products for reviewing purposes, and thank you for your interest.

 

Question: I am press, would you be interested in a collaboration, interview or review of OUMERE products for our publication?

Answer: All media and press can apply for OUMERE collaborations, interviews, and product reviews using the form here . OUMERE does not pay for reviews. Please note due to the volume of requests we receive we may not be able to address each and every press/media request. 

 

Question: What does it mean when a product is on pre-order?

Answer: Oumere skin care is made in small volumes every day, and when the current stock has been sold out, the product will be placed on pre-order until a new batch is made. Some products, such as UV-R, require one month to make, and when a batch is sold out, it could be several days or weeks before a new batch is ready for sale. If you pre-order, you will be placed at the top of the waitlist, and receive first priority for the upcoming batch.

Question: I am trying to place an order but my country isn’t listed, what should I do?

Answer: We are happy to ship to your country. Just send us an e-mail at customerservice@oumere.com , let us know the country you would like us to ship to and we will add it to the shipping list at checkout. If we receive your request between 9AM-9PM Pacific Time we can accommodate your request right away.

Question: How long does the Travel Set last?

Answer: The travel set typically lasts 10-30 days. Duration may vary depending on quantity and frequency of use.

Question: Can I store OUMERE products in the refrigerator?

Answer: Yes, all OUMERE products may be stored in the refrigerator.
