The first prototype of The OUMERE Foundation is ready

After a rigorous trial and error system I have finished the working prototype of the first OUMERE foundation.

The foundation is a cream-based formula as I found this to provide the best light-weight coverage with staying power and to keep the pigments in an even suspension.

The cream formula was made without the harsh solvents, acne-causing oils and fatty alcohols, and age-accelerating fragrances and essential oils. The cream was made instead of natural mica pigments, watermelon seed oil, broccoli seed oil, glycerin, hydrating esters and plant-derived emulsifiers. It is a vegetarian formula and, like all OUMERE products, cruelty-free with no animal, only human, testing.

The foundation is meant to be worn after the OUMERE Skin Care regimen is applied and leaves skin with a dewy finish. A dewy finish makes skin look and feel younger and contributes to anti-aging. A matte finish should be avoided as it makes skin look older and contributes to skin aging (from pulling water from the skin).

I will not be adding an SPF to this foundation because sunscreen needs to be a stand alone product. To get the advertised SPF, sunscreen has to be dosed correctly, and if you mix it in with foundation, you are not dosing the sunscreen enough to get the SPF advertised. Over time this could put you at risk for sun-induced aging and melanoma.

During this time I am looking for feedback on the tones of the foundation and look and feel throughout the day.

I hope everyone enjoys this foundation, I have been wearing it for one month now.
