Current project: OUMERE Cosmetics

A common new product request is for OUMERE to release a foundation. I wear foundation only on the weekends because I don't like putting those chemicals on my face more often than necessary, and I believe most who are requesting for a foundation to be released feel the same way.

Commercial foundations can look good, but they are formulated with everything needed to destroy your skin: fragrance/essential oils, harsh emulsifiers, silicones, drying alcohols, etc. And this is like investing in a house, putting money and time every day towards making it beautiful, and then throwing a party every weekend where it gets trashed, and you need to start all over again on monday.

That sysephean effort of building your skin up with skin care, taking care of it, spending money and time on your products and routine only to ruin it with skin-damaging makeup can finally be put to rest with the right formulation.

The right formulation is a simple one, just with the ingredients needed to make the foundation, no more no less, and without the unnecessary components like fragrance and silicones.

I am currently working on a foundation serum, which will combine the skin benefits of OUMERE's serums with the coverage of foundation with mica-based (natural) pigments.

I would appreciate any feedback on current foundations you have used: what you like, what you do not like, and what you want in a foundation from the formulation to the look to the packaging. All of which will go towards making a better product.

The foundation formulation will take about 2 years, but I will release the prototype to the Exclusive Offer/ VIP Program within the next few months, so please check the website periodically.

For the eye shadow, I am working on a liquid eye shadow that has a light sparkle to it in many shades ranging from a white diamond to blue. All of which will provide a subtle shine that will look nice with the above foundation.

All formulations will have a dewy finish, as a matte look amplifies wrinkles, lines and sagging, which makes you look older.
