Accelerated Healing of Superficial Linear Abrasions With OUMERE Skin Care: Case Report
Abstract
Objective: Evaluate whether daily application of OUMERE skin care products accelerates healing and minimizes scarring of superficial abrasions compared with water only.
Design: Single-participant, intra-individual controlled case with two comparable horizontal 4-inch abrasions on the abdomen—one treated with OUMERE (experimental) and one with distilled water (control).
Findings: The treated abrasion demonstrated faster visible recovery, reduced redness, and no residual scarring by Day 10, while the control remained mildly erythematous and raised.
Conclusion: In this controlled self-observation, the OUMERE regimen was associated with visibly accelerated resolution and reduced inflammation compared to control.
Introduction
Minor superficial injuries provide a controlled opportunity to evaluate topical care. This case aimed to determine whether OUMERE’s essential oil–free, biologically balanced formulations could shorten visible healing time and prevent scarring when compared with a distilled-water control.
Materials & Methods
Two identical horizontal abrasions (~4 in long) were created accidentally on the abdomen. The superior wound served as control (distilled water only), and the inferior wound as experimental (OUMERE regimen).
Products Used
- UV-R
- Serum Bioluminelle
- The Eye Serum
- The Advancement
Control: Distilled water swabbed on twice daily.
Experimental Routine (Days 1–4): UV-R → The Advancement → Serum Bioluminelle.
Experimental Routine (Days 5–10): UV-R → The Eye Serum → The Advancement → Serum Bioluminelle.
Results
Day 5
The experimental wound exhibited substantially less redness and appeared more re-epithelialized than the control, indicating faster recovery kinetics.
Day 10
By Day 10, the experimental wound had fully resolved with no visible scar. The control lesion remained slightly red with mild peeling and raised texture.
Discussion
The case demonstrates that formulations promoting hydration, controlled acidity, and antioxidant protection may create an optimal micro-environment for re-epithelialization. By avoiding cytotoxic ingredients (essential oils, fragrance, surfactants), OUMERE may help maintain the skin’s native regenerative processes.
Limitations: This is a single-subject observation without instrumentation or blinding. Quantitative metrics such as TEWL or colorimetry were not measured; results are observational and hypothesis-generating only.
Conclusion
Application of OUMERE products appeared to accelerate healing, reduce redness, and prevent visible scarring relative to distilled water in this controlled self-observation. Further controlled studies are warranted to quantify these effects.
