About OUMERE

OUMERE

Scientific skincare, formulated by a cellular biologist, made in small editions in Palm Beach, Florida.

Wendy Ouriel, M.S., founder of OUMERE
Founder & formulator: Wendy Ouriel, M.S. (Cellular Biology)

Who we are

OUMERE is a research-driven skincare company founded by , a cellular biologist. We formulate and bottle in our private lab in Palm Beach, Florida, and release products in limited monthly editions to preserve freshness, control quality, and maintain scarcity.

  • Founded: 2017
  • Discipline: Cellular biology-led formulation
  • Manufacturing: In-house, small-batch, lot-tracked
  • Location: Palm Beach, Florida, USA

Why OUMERE exists

Until the age of 25, Wendy never experienced acne, redness, or sensitivity. After a month of conventional luxury anti-aging products, she observed new breakouts, barrier stress, and irritation. Her academic work in extracellular matrix biology and the mechanisms of skin aging clarified a pattern: many products—across luxury, dermatologist, and “natural” categories—include potential irritants such as fragrance, essential oils, drying alcohols, and reactive fillers that can overwhelm the skin’s barrier.

OUMERE was created as a research-first alternative: formulations designed to work with biology rather than against it, produced in small volumes to keep variables tight (freshness, lot control) and to maintain precision.

Research & method

Every OUMERE formula begins at the bench: ingredient review, compatibility mapping, and stability testing, followed by small-scale iteration and controlled scale-up. We document results in the OUMERE Research Library and translate findings into practical steps in our Guides and Research & Methods.

  1. Literature & mechanism first: pathway-level rationale before any ingredient is weighed.
  2. Barrier-aware design: prioritize epidermal comfort and low reactivity.
  3. Edition control: limit batch size; lot test, then release.
  4. Field feedback loop: anonymized observations inform subsequent editions.

What we make

Our range is intentionally concise. Each formula has a defined role so routines remain simple, tolerable, and effective.

  • Bioluminelle — signature oil-serum emulsion for daily barrier support.
  • Cleansers & tonics — gentle cleansing and pH stewardship without harsh surfactants.
  • Serums — targeted actives placed where the literature supports them and the skin tolerates them.
  • Moisture & finish — weight-calibrated finishers for day and night.

Explore routines by concern in the OUMERE Guides.

OUMERE small-batch compounding and bottling

How we make it

  • Small-batch production with in-lab compounding and filling
  • Lot-level stability and organoleptic checks
  • Materials screened for purity, reactivity, and supply continuity
  • No contract manufacturing; no private label

We formulate with biologically compatible, evidence-informed materials and avoid unnecessary fragrance, sensitizers, and volatile solvents.

Press & recognition

  • Scientific clarity: claims mapped to mechanisms and limitations.
  • Scarcity by design: monthly editions to keep quality high and waste low.
  • Transparency: process notes in Lab Notes and primary sources in the Research Library.

Editor’s Lab Note

Biological principle: Skincare outcomes are most stable when formulations respect barrier integrity and minimize irritation load. OUMERE’s edition model keeps variables tight (freshness, lot control), allowing the biology to do the work with fewer confounders. See the Research Library for primary sources and the Guides for application.
