About OUMERE
The Founder
Wendy Ouriel holds a Master of Science in Cellular Biology. Her graduate research focused on extracellular matrix biology — specifically the silk-producing glands of the black widow spider and the biological mechanisms behind structural protein synthesis. That research became the foundation for everything OUMERE would become.
During her mid-twenties, after years of clear skin, Wendy experienced her first bout of acne and barrier damage. The skincare available to her — products marketed as solutions but formulated with ingredients that her biology training told her were problematic — led her to begin formulating her own. What started as a personal project in a university laboratory became OUMERE.
Today, Wendy personally compounds every OUMERE formula by hand in the company's private laboratory in Palm Beach, Florida. She is not a spokesperson or a figurehead. She is the formulator, the researcher, and the person producing every bottle that leaves the lab.
The Laboratory
OUMERE operates from a private laboratory in Palm Beach, Florida — not a factory, not a contract manufacturer, not a co-packing facility. Every formula is researched, developed, and compounded in this single location by a single biologist.
The laboratory houses OUMERE's proprietary fermentation processes, including a one-month broccoli sprout fermentation cycle that produces the sulforaphane concentration found in UV-R — a concentration unavailable through commercial extraction. The adaptogenic mushroom extracts, botanical preparations, and peptide compounds used across the product line are handled and compounded under conditions designed to preserve their integrity.
This is the fundamental difference between OUMERE and every other luxury skincare brand on the market. There is no factory. There is no outsourcing. There is one laboratory and one biologist, producing formulas that no industrial process can replicate.
Formulation Philosophy
Every OUMERE formula begins with research — a literature-first approach that examines the biology before selecting the ingredients. An ingredient is not included because it trends on social media or because a supplier offers it at scale. It is included because the published science supports its role in the formula and because it is stable, compatible, and safe for long-term use on skin.
Equally important is what OUMERE deliberately excludes. The following ingredients are absent from every formula in the OUMERE system:
No Hyaluronic Acid
Topical HA draws moisture to the skin's surface where it can be lost to evaporation. OUMERE hydrates through its botanical complexes instead.
No Vitamin C Serums
L-Ascorbic Acid is inherently unstable. It oxidizes readily in formulation and on skin. OUMERE relies on stable botanical antioxidant compounds.
No Fragrance
Synthetic or natural — fragrance serves no functional purpose in a treatment formula and carries a risk of irritation.
No Silicones
Silicones create a film that provides a temporary feel of smoothness while preventing full absorption of active ingredients.
Additionally, OUMERE formulas contain no drying alcohols, no essential oils, no waxes or heavy occlusives, and no plastic packaging. Every product is bottled in inert laboratory glass.
The System
OUMERE is not sold as individual products. It is an integrated skincare system — the OUMERE Protocol — where each formula creates the conditions for the next to perform. A serum applied to unprepared skin sits on the surface. An antioxidant without a lipid seal is exposed to evaporation. A cleanser that strips the skin undoes the work of everything applied before it.
The original OUMERE range consists of six core formulas that cover a complete morning and evening protocol: No. 9 Daily Liquid Exfoliant, UV-R Treatment Serum, The Advancement Concentrate, Serum Bioluminelle, Oil Dissolution Theory, and The Eye Serum. These six products are available together as The Collection ($1,000) or in travel size as The Travel Set ($250).
For established users, the Advanced Protocol — Advancement Concentrate II, UV-R Concentrate, and Serum Bioluminelle Concentrate — extends the system with concentrated evening formulas that deepen the day-night cycle.
Limited Monthly Editions
OUMERE products are released on the first of each month in limited volume. This is not a marketing tactic — it is a formulation requirement. Many of the compounds in OUMERE's formulas, including the proprietary broccoli sprout ferment, the cold-pressed botanical oils, and the peptide complexes, are sensitive to heat, light, and prolonged storage. Monthly compounding ensures that every bottle reaches the customer at peak freshness and potency.
When a month's edition is reserved, it is gone. There is no warehouse inventory. There is no restocking mid-month. Each edition is compounded, released, and closed.
The Flagship
OUMERE maintains a flagship store on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida. Private consultations — 30 or 60 minute sessions with Wendy Ouriel — are available at the flagship or virtually. The one-hour consultation includes a complimentary Collection Set and a tailored one-year OUMERE routine based on the client's individual skin history and concerns.

Open Research
In an industry defined by trade secrets and marketing obfuscation, OUMERE has taken the opposite approach. The company has open-sourced its formulation research through a publicly available Whitepaper Library and an open-source ingredient database on GitHub. OUMERE provides the biological reasoning behind every formulation decision — including its Restricted Ingredient Protocols explaining why widely used ingredients like hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and retinoids are excluded.
OUMERE does not ask for faith. It asks for intellect.
