No Hyaluronic Acid
Topical HA draws moisture from the deep dermis to the surface, where it's lost to evaporation. OUMERE takes a different approach — calibrated AHAs that support the skin's own natural moisturizing factor production. Hydration that originates from within and remains.
No Vitamin C
L-Ascorbic Acid is inherently unstable. It oxidizes readily — both in formulation and on the skin — and in its oxidized state functions as a pro-oxidant. OUMERE's antioxidant strategy relies on stable, research-backed botanical compounds delivered in the appropriate phase of the protocol.
Hand-Compounded
No. 9 is formulated and produced in the OUMERE private laboratory in Palm Beach. Each monthly edition is compounded individually — preserving the biological potency of every botanical extract in a way that industrial processing cannot.
Laboratory Glass
Every OUMERE product is bottled in inert glass. Plastic packaging allows chemical migration into active formulas — a compromise that has no place in a laboratory-grade formulation.
The Ritual
Apply to clean, dry skin. Use 3 to 7 times weekly. Allow up to 30 minutes before applying Step II — the longer No. 9 sits, the more thorough the renewal.

About No. 9
OUMERE No. 9 is a hand-compounded daily liquid exfoliant created by cellular biologist Wendy Ouriel in the OUMERE private laboratory in Palm Beach, Florida. It is the first step of the OUMERE Protocol — a complete anti-aging skincare system built on biological research, individually hand-compounded, and released in limited monthly editions.
The formula combines lactic acid, mandelic acid, lactobionic acid, and gluconolactone with mulberry extract, goldenseal, licorice root, willow bark, and rooibos — botanical actives selected through years of cellular biology research for their roles in skin clarity, tone evenness, and barrier resilience. No. 9 is suitable for all skin types when introduced gradually.
Produced in limited volume, bottled in laboratory glass, and shipped directly from the OUMERE laboratory. No fragrance. No essential oils. No drying alcohols. No hyaluronic acid. No vitamin C.

No. 9 should only be used with OUMERE products to avoid irritation and to experience the most powerful and profound anti-aging results. Apply several drops onto a cotton pad. For those with sensitive skin or skin not used to chemical exfoliation, add equal parts water to cotton pad to dilute. Beginning at the forehead, pat cotton pad gently onto face, neck, and décolleté. Do not rub product into skin as this can cause irritation. There is no need to rinse product off, No. 9 will cease exfoliating after approximately 30 minutes when your skin naturally returns to its normal pH level. Wait at least one minute before applying additional products. The longer No. 9 stays on skin before applying next product, the more exfoliation your skin will experience.
LACTIC ACID
Powerful, yet non-irritating alpha hydroxy acid with moisturizing properties.
MANDELIC ACID
Alpha hydroxy acid derived from almonds. Mandelic acid is effective for improving appearance of acne-prone skin.
LACTOBIONIC ACID
Poly hydroxy acid with anti-inflammatory properties, and gentle exfoliating capabilities.
GLUCONOLACTONE
Poly hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates skin
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
Alpha hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates and brightens skin.
WILLOW BARK EXTRACT
Natural source of the beta hydroxy acid, salicylic acid, which has been shown to reduce the appearance of acne.
GOLDENSEAL (INDIAN TURMERIC) EXTRACT
Naturally improves the appearance of acne and inflammation. Made from fresh (not powdered) goldenseal grown in the United States.
MULBERRY EXTRACT
Mulberry contains one of the highest concentrations of resveratrol found in nature. Resveratrol has the ability to bring aged skin back to a youthful appearance.
GRAPE SEED EXTRACT
To brighten and restore tired skin, and is excellent for those with sensitive and irritated skin.
LICORICE ROOT EXTRACT
Naturally brightens and soothes appearance of irritated skin.

When first using No. 9 do a patch test on wrist to see if irritation occurs. Wait at least an hour and examine skin for redness or irritation. If irritation occurs discontinue use and consult a doctor. Not suitable for those under 18 years of age. Do not use with burned, irritated, or medicated skin. Do not use in conjunction with retinoic treatment or Vitamin C serums. External use only. Do not apply immediately after shaving. Wait at least 4 hours after shaving to apply No. 9 to avoid irritation. May increase sun sensitivity, avoid immediate and unprotected sun exposure. Wear sunscreen when using this product. Avoid contact with eyes and eye creases. If contact with eyes occurs, flush with plenty of water for several minutes and consult a medical care professional. Skin Purging may occur when first using the No. 9 Exfoliant.
